I received some pages from a sketchbook this afternoon. It has been a good day for drawing! Katy has also uploaded her picasa album. See comments below for the link. I like the idea of a live object (the pumpkin, or is it a gourd?) We will watch its demise with interest!

I need to work on my photography skills so everything doesn't look so yellow. The item you refer to is a kabocha squash. I bought it to put in my lentil soup but then forgot. You can chop it up and cook it with skin on and eat the skin...easier to deal with than butternut squash etc. It looks like an old man who might play checkers in Riverside Park.
I cheat. I asked for two presents this Christmas... a heavy duty folding table so that I could draw anywhere and a big wonderful photographer's light that is natural light so I can create light!
